Greg Lankler is a Managing Director of Mercury/Clark & Weinstock in Washington, DC.
Before joining Mercury, Mr. Lankler served as a Professional Staff Member on the House Appropriations Committee’s Subcommittee on Defense. Since March 2001, he has held multiple portfolios on the subcommittee specializing in Department of Defense and Intelligence Community research, development and acquisition programs. Most recently, he was part of the subcommittee’s Select Intelligence Oversight Panel staff covering Central Intelligence Agency and Special Operations Command programs and activities.
From 2003 until 2007 Mr. Lankler was responsible for the Air Force’s research, development, and procurement programs. Additionally, for the first two years of his tenure, he was responsible for Department of Defense and Military Service information technology programs, as well as the research, development and procurement programs for the Defense-Wide Agencies and the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
Prior to joining the committee, Mr. Lankler worked for 11 years in the office of Congressman C.W. Bill Young serving as a Legislative Assistant from 1990 through 1996, and Legislative Director from 1996 until 2001.
Mr. Lankler, who holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Delaware, lives in Rockville, Maryland with his wife, Tracey, and their three children.
